Heal ~ Thai Massage & Therapeutic Bodywork in Chiang Mai

Sirichan Thai Healing Center offers Thai massage and therapeutic bodywork in Chiang Mai with Dr. Sirichan: abdominal massage, Chantra face massage, pregnancy and post-natal massage, Tok Sen, Amataros and herbal treatments.

Carrying pain for a long time makes you tired in a particular way. You hold yourself at an angle all day just to get through it. Healing rarely arrives in one go. It comes in pieces, over sessions, in small returns of ease you hardly register until one day you do.

That is where Sirichan's Thai healing treatments start.

Every treatment opens with Dr. Sirichan reading your body, to see and feel what it needs today.

Individual Assessment

The location of pain is not always the source of the problem.

Before there is a treatment plan, Dr. Nooy wants to see the body she is working with. Not through a form, but through a traditional physical exam: close visual inspection, palpation, iridology, pulse-reading. It looks nothing like a standard check-up, and most patients are surprised how much it turns up in twenty minutes. Then she tells you what she found, in plain words: what she sees, what it probably means, what she would do about it. Plenty of people book the assessment on its own, without a massage afterwards, just to get an experienced read on where their body stands.

Questions about treatments

What is Thai therapeutic massage and how does it differ from a relaxing Thai massage?

At Sirichan every treatment starts with an Assessment and reading your body. After this, we work at the painful area and everything attached to it, using acupressure, tendon work, targeted stretching, Tok Sen and spinal balancing as the case requires. It is clinical hands-on work with no fixed routine, so the effect lasts past the session.

Who is Dr. Sirichan?

Dr. Sirichan Maneechai, called Nooy by her patients and students, started at the age of eight beside her grandmother Wissim, a midwife and master of Thai herbal medicine. She trained in temples across Thailand with other master healers and is a Doctor of Thai Traditional Medicine, licensed by the Thai Ministry of Public Health. She has worked in the clinic for thirty years. Read her story

Can Thai massage help with back pain, sciatica or neck and shoulder pain?

People come to Dr. Nooy for neck and shoulder pain, lower back and hip pain, sciatic nerve pain, persistent headaches, old injuries and digestive complaints, among other things. Healing rarely arrives in one go. It comes in pieces, over several sessions. Dr. Nooy looks for the source, since the location of pain is not always the source of the problem.

What happens in the individual assessment?

Dr. Nooy examines you in the traditional way: close visual inspection, palpation, iridology and pulse-reading. It takes around twenty minutes. Then she tells you in plain words what she found, what it probably means and what she would do about it. You can book the assessment on its own, without a massage afterwards.

How long does a treatment take?

It depends on the cause. Sometimes one treatment is enough to release old pain and sometimes it takes more than one session. If people with issues want to deeply focus on their healing, we recommend the "3-Day Thai Body Reset" at Sirichan Thai Healing Center / Green Oasis Resort.

Do you offer pregnancy and post-natal massage?

Yes. Dr. Nooy learned this treatment from her grandmother, a working midwife, and has given it for over thirty years. Before birth it eases the physical load of carrying a child. After birth it works gently on the abdomen so the tissue regains its elasticity.

Where is Sirichan Thai Healing Center?

Inside Green Oasis Resort in San Kamphaeng, about 15 km from the Chiang Mai city centre. The address is 176 Moo 8, San Kamphaeng Sai Road, Ton Pao, San Kamphaeng District, Chiang Mai 50130.

Can I stay at the resort and combine it with treatments?

Yes. Book your stay with us and your single treatments come with a 10% discount. If one session is not enough, the 3-Day Thai Body Reset combines two nights at Green Oasis, 7 meals and 4 hours of individualized bodywork. See Stay for the resort and 3-Day Thai Body Reset for a focused Retreat about your bodyhealing.

“The best massage I ever did. The doctor broke me and put me back together. I felt brand new afterward. It felt really medical and not just for fun. She really knows what she's doing.”

Hodaya · Client

“A huge thank you to Dr. Nooy and her whole team. We traveled 14,000 km from the Caribbean to Chiang Mai to be treated, and it was absolutely worth it. This is our third visit, each time with different health issues, and each time we've felt reborn. Especially worth mentioning is the 'baby face' massage - a truly rejuvenating facial treatment.”

Sun · Client

“I came to Dr. Nooy on a recommendation, with strong pain in my spine and shoulder. After just two sessions I felt significantly better. The way she explains and teaches touched me right away - she teaches through feeling and makes complex connections clear. Because of that, I spontaneously booked the Chantra Face Massage course. Dr. Nooy has magic hands and is a wonderful teacher.”

Carina · Client & Student

“I've sprained my ankle so many times, I usually tell practitioners to avoid the area - I don't trust people to touch it. After a two-hour session with Dr. Nooy, my foot felt brand new, with more space in it than it's had in years.”

Helena · Client

“I originally came in for just one session because of neck pain. She treated me so thoroughly and helped with issues I hadn't even been aware of. Now I can breathe more freely, feel lighter in many movements, and I'm no longer so stiff.”
