Sirichan Therapeutic Bodywork Practitioner Program

Sirichan Therapeutic Bodywork Practitioner Program

Learn the techniques. Learn how to combine them. Then learn to use them with real people.

This program was not developed simply as a massage curriculum - it comes from a working clinic, where these techniques continue to be used with real clients every day. You are not only shown how a technique is performed. You learn how it is used.

The program is taught in the presence of the practitioner who has spent more than three decades using, refining and combining these methods in treatment. You can watch, practise, ask why, be corrected, and try again.

Some knowledge can be taught. Some is carried in the hands.

Northern Thai Massage forms the foundation. Then you add Thai Walking Massage, Body Balancing and Joint Adjustments and learn how they can support one another within the same treatment. The goal is not to collect modalities - it is to have more useful options when the body in front of you needs something different.

During the program, you can add optional weekend workshops in Tok Sen Therapy and Herbal Ball Therapy (5,000 THB each), taught the way they are actually used in our clinic. Students who want to take the training further can continue with Amataros, another therapeutic modality taught at Sirichan.

5-week, 150-hour hands-on training in Chiang Mai · Developed from more than 30 years of active clinical practice in Thailand

Supervised clinical practice during the Practitioner Program

Week 1 - Thai Therapeutic Massage I

Build your foundation in Thai Massage: sen lines, body mechanics, therapeutic touch, practitioner positioning, supine, prone and side-position Thai Massage - and how they are applied in therapeutic practice: positioning, pressure, rhythm, and the small adjustments that make a technique effective rather than simply correct. 5 days, 30 hours.

Week 2 - Thai Therapeutic Massage II

Expand your Thai Massage repertoire and begin putting the techniques into complete treatments: additional techniques, treatment sequences, transitions, positioning, adaptation and supervised practice - including how the same movement can be adapted according to the person, the area being treated and the response under your hands. 5 days, 30 hours.

Week 3 - Walking Massage, Body Balancing & Bone Setting

Add new ways of working with pressure, leverage, joints and structure: Walking Massage with feet, knees and elbows, Body Balancing and joint adjustment techniques. Walking Massage lets you use your body weight efficiently and reduce strain on your own hands and joints, and the structural techniques work alongside Thai Massage rather than as a separate treatment. 5 days, 30 hours.

Week 4 - Putting It All Together

Reinforce what you have learned, correct what still needs correction, add further techniques, and make the work more reliable in your hands. You revisit Thai Massage, Walking Massage, Body Balancing and Bone Setting with closer attention to positioning, pressure, body mechanics, precision, transitions and choice of technique. Your attention begins to move from performing the technique correctly to understanding when, why and how to use it - the beginning of therapeutic decision-making. 5 days, refinement and supervised integration practice.

Week 5 - From Practice to Practitioner

You begin treating real clients under direct supervision: you listen to what they are experiencing, observe and feel what is happening in the body, decide how to begin, choose and combine the methods you have learned, and adjust the treatment as you go. Afterwards, you receive feedback on both your technique and your treatment decisions. That is the transition from practising massage to beginning to practise as a therapist. 5 days, supervised treatment with real client cases.
